At the start of the year we urged you to make your career urgent – how’s it going? Believe it or not we’re 4 months into the year and there are only 8 months left until 2015!
If you haven’t yet made the impact you wanted on your career this year, it’s not too late. Here are some quick questions to help you get you focused on your career:
- How many times have you met with your mentors this year?
- How many new things have you volunteered for in 2014?
- Has your network changed? Have new people come into your network this year? Do you have more mentors and advisers?
- Are you more visible in your organisation, than you were at the end of 2013? Are you more visible outside your department?
- What new projects or initiatives have you started or got involved with?
- What new responsibilities have you stepped up to?
- What achievements have you measured, and who knows about them?
