Hunting down great career ideas...

Continuing our series of blogs on workplace and career challenges, I wanted to tackle the issue of losing passion for your job. We all fall out of love with what we do at times and feel like we need to search for something else.

Mostly we take a very positive approach to careers, providing ideas and thinking as to what you can to drive things forward. We have to recognise however that there are times that don’t feel so great, and you start to feel overwhelmed and lose direction.

Some of the greatest lessons are learnt in times of stress and strife. And a word of encouragement if you’re facing a challenge right now – even if you don’t see a positive outcome, I promise that you will be more capable as a result of the experience.

I hope the last 2 weeks since my last article have been productive and that your career has not once again gone onto the back-burner! There is a real danger that this can happen as the pace of work speeds up.

A new year always brings a sense of excitement and opportunities. Which is bizarre really – as it’s really just another day on a calendar. But if you’re anything like me you’ll be wondering – and hopeful – for what is around the corner.
