Nothing impresses a manager or department head more than an individual who has a good knowledge of the organisation’s external environment.

Many of you have been on our Drive Your Career programme where we discuss career brands. Some like the phrase, and some don’t, and a delegate recently asked me whether it’s still a valid phrase.

This is a question that gets asked regularly in career sessions, especially where the job advert or specification mentions years of experience.
